Corporate Wellness in Action: Our Weekend Delivering Sports Therapy at Camp Kaizen. Bodies. Moving. Better.
Recovery Inc is a corporate wellness and sports therapy provider with clinics across Hertfordshire (Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, St Albans), London, Essex, Manchester, and Dublin. We partner with fitness retreats, wellness escapes, and corporate wellness companies across the UK and Ireland to deliver on-site sports therapy, injury care, and employee wellbeing support.
From Thursday to Saturday, the Recovery Inc team traded the clinic for the mountains, joining George Chatterton and his team at Camp Kaizen — the UK’s hybrid training camp — for an unforgettable executive hybrid fitness weekend and corporate wellness retreat in the Lake District.
From the very first moment we connected with George on LinkedIn, it was clear he had a genuine passion for what he does, and that he was building something special and unique. Camp Kaizen isn’t just a fitness camp. It’s an opportunity to push barriers, dig in deep, and develop both yourself and your team — and after three days on the ground with his crew, we understand exactly why.

Three Days, Every Kind of Challenge
Our role for the weekend was simple in principle and demanding in practice: be on hand for therapy, training advice, injury guidance, and preparation support across everything the camp threw at its participants. And it threw a lot.
Over the course of the weekend, the group tackled:
- Hard, honest workouts that tested strength and mental grit in equal measure
- Mountain hikes through some genuinely stunning Lake District terrain
- Cold water plunges — because nothing builds resilience quite like ice-cold water at altitude
- A run around the lakes, putting legs and lungs to the test after days of hard training
- A team-building activity designed to bring the group closer together
- A quiz night with a few questionable inverted commas and a lot of (mostly) truthful answers
Between sessions, our team was busy treating participants — easing sore muscles, managing niggles before they became injuries, and making sure everyone had what they needed to get back out there and keep pushing.

Getting Stuck In
We didn’t just support from the sidelines. Myself and Yolanda dove in fully and took part in the activities alongside the group — the hikes, the workouts, the cold plunges, all of it. It’s genuinely one of our favourite parts of weekends like this: meeting new people from every walk of life, pushing limits together, and looking after one another along the way.

Why This Matters for Workplaces
Spending three days immersed in this environment made something very clear to us: corporate wellness experiences like this aren’t just good for fitness — they’re transformative for team culture, resilience, and connection. Watching a group of people push through genuinely hard physical and mental challenges together, side by side, builds a kind of trust and camaraderie that’s difficult to replicate in a boardroom.
It’s a big part of why we’re already looking to bring the rest of the Recovery Inc team along next time — and why we’d encourage any business owner, HR leader, or workplace wellbeing programme to consider something similar for their people.
Building Something Long-Term
Our weekend at Camp Kaizen wasn’t a one-off. We’re proud to be building a long-term partnership with George and his team, supporting future hybrid training camps with the same sports therapy, training advice, and injury care that kept this group moving through three demanding days.
